The first ENEEP Autumn Reactor Physics Courses of 2024 were launched at the L.E.N.A. Center in Pavia. Two specialized courses were conducted on the Safety of Nuclear Reactors and Fundamentals of Isotope Production. Seventeen participants from ten countries attended, receiving training at the L.E.N.A. research reactor and laboratories. Together, they spent more than five days in intensive practical training.

The Safety of Nuclear Reactors course focused on reactor physics and its connection to the safety aspects of reactor operation. This was the first time the course was organized at the L.E.N.A. center, and it exclusively utilized the TRIGA reactor.

The second course, Fundamentals of Isotope Production, combined hands-on work with the research reactor and radiological laboratories. Participants were also introduced to quality assurance procedures, a key component of radioisotope production for medical use.
