Organizer:
Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), Slovakia, under the management of the European Nuclear Experimental Educational Platform (ENEEP)
Language:
English
Purpose:
This intensive four-day course, running from November 10 to 13, 2025, offers hands-on training in advanced experimental techniques used in radiation imaging and dosimetry. Participants will begin with a course introduction, a pre-test, and a guided tour of the laboratories. The following days will focus on practical exercises including X-ray and neutron imaging, atomic force microscopy, dosimetry using PADC detectors, and a maze shielding experiment with a PuBe source. The course concludes with a post-test and participant feedback session. It is designed to provide both theoretical grounding and practical experience in radiation-based diagnostic and measurement techniques.
Participants’ qualifications:
The course is aimed at students in master’s degree programs and early Ph.D. studying nuclear engineering as well as young professionals in this field. The level of the course can be tailored to according to the needs of the participants.
