In February 2024 the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) as a member of the ENEEP Association carried out a series of remote experimental activities for M.Sc. students enrolled in the IMSci-Nu track (Instrumentation and Measurement Science for major Nuclear research facilities) at Aix-Marseille University in the framework of the “Excellence Nucléaire Sud” programme. The activities consisted of a remote visit to the JSI TRIGA research reactor and associated infrastructure, as well as practical exercises e.g. measurements of the neutron flux distribution with a miniature fission chamber. The exercises were performed remotely by a team of young PhDs and PhD students at the JSI, through the use of multiple devices (laptops, tablets, cameras), at the TRIGA reactor in Ljubljana; the students followed in detail and interacted with the team from a lecture room in Marseille.
